Duniyapur (TV Series)

Project Objectives

• Deliver high-quality VFX for Duniyapur, the most expensive TV series ever produced in Pakistan for Green Entertainment.

• Enhance the storytelling with cinematic visual effects that increased the scale and impact of the production.

• Manage and execute complex effects across multiple shooting locations under challenging conditions.

• Maintain the highest production standards to set a new benchmark for Pakistani television.

Project Scope

Pre-Production and Planning

• Haris Ali and Ghazi Ali Zaidi, Founders of VFX Dudes, led the project with Haris serving as VFX Director and both overseeing on-set VFX supervision to ensure accurate capture for post-production.

• Worked closely with the production team to design a VFX plan that aligned with the creative vision of the series.

• Planned workflows and techniques for complex shots requiring practical and digital effects integration.

Production Challenges

• Filmed across multiple cities in Punjab and the northern areas of Pakistan, dealing with unpredictable weather, dense winter fog, and difficult location logistics.

• Developed practical and CGI solutions for scenes requiring dangerous or logistically impossible effects.

VFX Execution

• Produced and composited green screen shots, muzzle flashes, gunfire effects, and numerous explosions.

• Created highly graphic combat and stunt sequences with realistic fight choreography enhancements.

• Delivered large-scale destruction scenes, atmospheric effects, and action-driven visuals.

Post-Production

• Managed compositing, match-moving, and advanced particle simulations for intense action moments.

• Integrated all visual effects seamlessly into the series for a realistic and immersive experience.

• Delivered all shots on time, meeting tight broadcast schedules.

Results
Duniyapur set a new technical and creative standard for Pakistani drama productions, with its high-end VFX standing out as a defining feature of the series. The explosive action, cinematic visuals, and detailed effects received praise from audiences and industry professionals, reinforcing VFX Dudes as a leader in delivering world-class work.

Lessons Learned

• Large-scale television productions require thorough pre-planning, especially when filming across multiple locations in unpredictable conditions.
